Creating new chemistries for a secure energy future.
We are a materials research firm exploring electrochemically active organic materials to secure a financially and environmentally sustainable energy future.
A New Class of Organic Compounds
We have developed a new class of organic compounds that sets the stage for significant advancements in both mobile and large-scale energy storage. Our robust materials charge at lightning speed, perform well at low temperature, and boast a long life even when discharged to zero volts.
This positions our materials as an excellent alternative to Li-ion and lead-acid chemistries for many industrial and consumer applications. Much like organic chemistry revolutionized displays with OLED technology, our compounds are driving the next evolution in energy storage materials.
Jolt is seeking strategic partnerships with technology companies looking to invest in a safer, more affordable and sustainable energy future.
Meeting the Need for Reliable Energy
Advancements in new technologies like vehicle electrification and artificial intelligence are driving demand for energy access like never before. To keep up, the world needs reliable, affordable, high-capacity energy infrastructure that doesn’t rely on turbulent international supply chains or disruptive mineral mining. Made from established chemical supply chains, our organic materials offer a solution for a future of energy independence using organic energy storage.
Safer & Less Complex
Our organic materials can be integrated in existing battery designs with fewer controls requirements than Li-ion. They operate in wide window of temperatures and voltages without risk of battery damage and significantly less risk of thermal runaway.
High Performance in Extreme Cold
Beyond extremely high charge/discharge rates, our PyCore™ materials operate efficiently down to -50°C and offer exceptional cycle life without degradation. This combination of speed, durability, and environmental resilience makes them ideal for applications requiring reliable performance in challenging conditions.
Affordable Materials for Diverse Applications
With lower material costs, we can open up energy storage for markets previously limited by expensive battery chemistries. An alternative material supply chain diversifies energy storage capabilities for more secure energy access, improves national security and makes use of existing chemical manufacturing assets.
